The role

Cleaner — domestic & commercial (part-time or full-time). Regular weekly and fortnightly home cleans, office and communal area cleaning, plus end of tenancy, after builders, oven, carpet and window cleans for those who want them. You work in customers’ homes and workplaces across our area, either on your own once trained or in a pair for the bigger jobs.

We are a small Sunbury-on-Thames company, rated 5.0 on Google by our customers, and the people you’d be cleaning for are mostly families, landlords, letting agents and local businesses who have used us for years. We take on cleaners who care about doing it properly — because that is why those customers keep coming back.

What we offer

Flexible hours — Part-time or full-time. Tell us the mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends you can do and we build your rota around them.
Work close to home — Our jobs are in Sunbury, Shepperton, Staines, Walton, Kingston, Twickenham, Richmond and across SW London — we match you to your area.
Regular customers — Weekly and fortnightly homes mean the same addresses and friendly faces, not a different stranger every day.
Everything provided — Eco-friendly, non-toxic products, HEPA vacuums and equipment are supplied, so you never pay for kit.
Paid training — Full training on our methods, the end of tenancy checklist and safe product use — experienced or not.
A small, friendly team — You deal with the owners directly. Good work is noticed and there is room to take on more hours or lead jobs.

What we’re looking for

Reliable and punctual — our customers book slots and count on us turning up
Takes pride in a proper, thorough clean and an eye for detail
Friendly, polite and trustworthy in people’s homes and workplaces
Right to work in the UK, and happy for us to take references and run a background check
Good enough English to understand job notes and chat with customers
Driving licence and your own car are a bonus (more jobs, more hours), not essential

Questions about working with us

No. Experienced cleaners can start straight away; if you are new to cleaning we train you fully, and your first jobs are alongside an experienced team member.

Whatever suits you — we have customers from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week. Many of our cleaners do school-hours shifts; others work evenings and weekends around another job.

We are based in Sunbury-on-Thames and cover Spelthorne, Elmbridge, Kingston, Richmond, Hounslow and South West London. We give you work close to where you live.

No. We supply all eco-friendly products and equipment. A car helps you reach more jobs but plenty of our work is reachable by bus or train.

We pay competitive hourly rates, with more for end of tenancy, after builders and specialist cleans. We confirm the exact rate for your hours and experience at the phone chat.

Every Urban Gleam cleaner is reference-checked and background-checked before working alone in a customer’s home, because that is what we promise our customers.
